More Candy Please!

(Grrrrr...)
(Awwww...)

(Cheese!!)

(I want to suck your blood!)

Well, yesterday Geanie and I were able to take Tinley and Shaelee to the dentist. Tinley had eight...yes that is right, eight cavities. I tried to talk the dentist into pulling them, but he assured me that she had to have them to eat....dang! Who needs to eat, right? Isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place. After crying on the dentist's shoulder (yes, I really did), he was able to fill 3 cavities and do 1 root canal. Tinley did awesome! Shaelee had 2 teeth pulled a few weeks ago and she had to go back for a check-up. So far so good, looks like she is keeping all the rest of her pearly whites! Thanks Geanie for helping me out and keeping me calm! (Aren't you all so happy that you were able to see the inside of my kid's mouths! Aren't blogs great!)

TAXI

(Old friends from High School..we went the aquarium)

Brandon and I were able to go out Denver for a Pfizer Convention in late April. It was tons of fun! I was able to see old high school friends and hang out with Nick and Melanie Robinson. Mel and I decided to go to the mall and do some serious shopping while in town. On our drive back to the hotel our Taxi was hit. The other driver almost ran off, but to no avail, our cab driver ran a red light, honked his horn, waved his arms and stopped him. Good thing Melanie and I (and her baby) were in the back making sure their was no on-coming traffic to kill us. Needless to say, this was quiet the adventure! I wanted to take a picture of all of the people involved, (cops, both drivers and me and Mel), but I did not think they all wanted to pose in front of the camera smiling so I could get a shot, so these are the pictures!

Tag You're It!!

I have never been tagged before, so this will be fun. I am supposed to turn to page 123 of the nearest book to me and read sentence #5 Here goes: "A second of thinking, "Thank Goodness I won't have to get an HIV test." For the record this is not my book. My sister and I bought this book when I was in Chicago last week for my mom for Mother's Day. The title is The Friday Night Knitting Club...I thought it would be a heartwarming book on friendship. I think I might have been wrong after that sentence. Angie, your book sounds a lot more inspiring than this one. I tag Shy and Jessica!

Food Yummy Food! Part 2

I noticed that I put a 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce, it is actually a 1/4 cup. Also, if you don't want it very spicy, add less chili powder...you can always add more later.

Food Yummy Food!!!

Today was a great day! Thanks Jess for letting us trash your house! A few people asked me for this recipe...so here it is.

1 lb. Spaghetti
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic (I use garlic powder if I don't have fresh on hand)
Meat from a large chicken (I get a rotisserie and pick it off the bone)
3-4 cans chicken broth (if it is not very moist add the fourth can)
1 can Rol-Tel Tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can cream o'mush soup
3 small cans diced mushrooms
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
3 cups cheddar cheese

Saute onion in butter with garlic until clear and tender. Add all canned ingredients, Worcestershire, chili powder, and salt and pepper. Let it simmer for at least 1/2 hour. Cook spaghetti. Add chicken, spaghetti, and cottage cheese to mixture. Pour into casserole dish, top with cheese, and bake at 350 degrees until cheese and melted and dish is warmed all the way through.

Here is another recipe that I love...you can't go wrong with this one at a party!!

Cold Winter Salad
Salad:
1 head romaine
1 head red leaf
2 gala apples (peeled and chopped)
2 small cans mandarin oranges
1 c. sugar toasted pecans
½ c. crasins

Dressing:
¾ c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 t. ground mustard
1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
¾ c. oil
1 T. poppy seeds
2 T. minced white onions

Happy Cooking!!!
